From Vegas to Macau is a Chinese production also known as the Man of Macau. This is a crime comedy film touching on the dark side of gambling. The father also happens to have a son who is an undercover trying to investigate the dealings of a gambling syndicate. However, the police son’s cover is blown when the head of the syndicate discovers that there is a mule in his team. The police son is murdered in cold blood leaving his father and his two brothers bent on revenging his death.

The Gambler is a remake of the 1974 film by the same name ‘The Gambler’. The main role in the film is played by Mark Wahlberg, a university professional who is an addicted gambler. At the death of his grandfather, Wahlberg inherits his estate but his gambling addiction leads him to gamble with most of his inheritance money. Without realising it, Wahlberg ends up owing over $400,000 in debt with a large chunk of the money coming from a loan shark who gives him seven days to repay the debt or be murdered.
