From BBC:

Marvel have a new film "in the works" in the shape of Muslim superhero Ms Marvel.

It won't be the studio's first female-led film - Brie Larson is already set to enter the franchise as Captain Marvel in 2019.

Avengers Infinity War producer Kevin Feige told the BBC: "Ms. Marvel... is definitely sort of in the works."

He explained she is "another character in the comic books, the Muslim hero who is inspired by Captain Marvel".

"We have plans for that once we've introduced Captain Marvel to the world," he added.

In the comic books, Ms Marvel's alter-ego is Kamala Khan, a Pakistani-American teenager from New Jersey.

Commentary:  Since her debut I have loved Kamala Khan.  She is from Jersey City, and the character went to the same high school I did.  So while a lot of people (rightfully so) point to her as a role model for young women, especially Muslim and Pakistani-American young women, I still have a strong connection to the character.  This announcement is nothing set in stone..."definitely sort of" isn't exactly a ringing endorsement.  It is very possible they will debut her in a movie with a more established Marvel Cinematic Universe character like they did with Tom Holland's SPIDER-MAN, but either way, I love the character and look forward to seeing her get more exposure.
