Cooties Elijah Wood Rainn Wilson

Elijah Wood’s career can best be described as…..mercurial. With credits ranging from the terrible The Bumblebee Flies Anyway all the way to the pinnacle of his career as the voice of Spyro in The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning, it can safely be said that the entertainment industry hasn’t typecast him. Doing the heavy lifting in television shows such as Adventures from the Book of Virtues, lending his voice to the part of Mumble in the video game “Happy Feet”, and of course, he is most well known for playing the title role in the coming-of-age movie North.

Rainn Wilson needs no introduction, if you watched TV between 2005-2013. Pairing appearences on Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job as the hilarious Bobby Stoan with solid efforts in Monsters vs. Aliens and even a turn on PBS Presents: HMS Pinafore, Wilson mainly appears as a comedic actor, but ALSO appeared in House of 1000 Corpses.

These two under-rated actors join forces in the long-awaited horror comedy Cooties. Originally shown at the Sundance Film Festival in 20014, it was released in India and Taiwan on October 10, 2014. After being shown at the Stanley Film Festival this past April, it will finally be shown to the internet at large this coming September.

Elijah Wood stars as Clint, an aspiring writer who takes a substitute teaching job out of desperation. At the school he is teaching at, one of the students becomes ill with a mysterious illness, and it’s up to Clint, along with Lucy (Alison Pill), Wade (Rainn Wilson), and other teachers (Jack McBrayer, Leigh Whannell, and Nasim Pedrad) to discover and root out the cause of the disease, all while defending themselves against the hordes of attacking students.

Cooties will be released in the United States in September 2015.
