Welcome back to Critical Blast’s long-running weekly look at what new comics you should check out each week.   Just a warning, I make these picks pretty much a week BEFORE I actually get to read any of these comics, so if something is a stinker, I take no blame on that.  Let's get to it!

Comics shipping this week

  • JUSTICE LEAGUE NO JUSTICE #3 – As an old school fan of LEGION and REBELS, I was so hyped to see Vril Dox show up in the end of issue 2. NO JUSTICE has been kind of slow to be honest, but I am still enjoying it quite a bit.
  • HUNT FOR WOLVERINE: MYSTERY IN MADRIPOOR #1 – I think having four mini-series to bring back Wolverine is a bit excessive (especially since I prefer Old Man Logan and Laura in the role), but to be honest, the series have been entertaining at least, so that goes a long way.
  • SUPER SONS #16 – Great news this week that SUPER SONS will be returning for a 12-issue maxiseries later in the year. I was worried that we wouldn’t get more of this awesome pairing, but huge credit to DC for sticking with it.
  • INFINITY COUNTDOWN DARKHAWK #1 – I was a huge fan of Darkhawk growing up. I don’t really like all the space stuff they added on later, but I think if they can find a good balance (like they did in DARKHAWK #51) this tie-in mini series could be very good.
  • BATMAN BEYOND #20 – I have really enjoyed the teases with Robin Beyond. BATMAN BEYOND is one of DC’s best series, though it doesn’t get anywhere near enough attention.
  • Brothers Dracul #2
  • Her Infernal Descent #2
  • Batgirl #23
  • Detective Comics #981
  • Flash #47
  • Hal Jordan And The Green Lantern Corps #45
  • Silencer #5
  • Suicide Squad #42
  • Terrifics #4
  • Wonder Woman #47
  • Legenderry Red Sonja #4
  • Star Trek The Next Generation Through The Mirror #4
  • Hit-Girl #4
  • Champions #20
  • Doctor Strange #390
  • Falcon #8
  • Incredible Hulk #717
  • Invincible Iron Man #600
  • Legion #5 (Of 5)
  • Moon Knight #195
  • Old Man Logan #40
  • Star Wars #48
  • Star Wars Annual #4
  • Star Wars Doctor Aphra #20
  • Weapon X #18
  • Shadowman #3
  • X-O Manowar #15
