Following suit in a long line of men who have been fired from their positions, due to allegations of sexual harassment, Producer Andrew Kreisberg (ARROW, THE FLASH, SUPERGIRL) is now among the shamed.
Vicitms of sexual assault have been empowered to speak out against their attackers, ever since news broke about Harvey Weinstein. It used to be that men in powerful positions were able to make their accusers go away quietly. Those days are officially over and there are probably a lot more men out there who are shaking in their boots right now.
Allegations are vastly different from convictions. However in the workplace, it doesn't matter. File a complaint with HR and you can get someone fired after their own investigation. And while nobody has gone to jail yet for these accusations, none of the accused have filed a libel suit to clear their name either.
Given the fact that many of these shows promote powerful female characters, who are highly respected, it's upsetting to hear that Kreisberg would treat women behind the scenes so differently. Earlier this year, Melissa Benoist (Kara Danvers/SUPERGIRL) put her anger towards President Trump on display before his inauguration. In response to the leaked audio of, then celebrity Trump, saying you can grab a woman "by the p*ssy", she was seen at a rally holding a sign, warning him not to try it with her. You know, because it's "made of steel".
Back on November 10th, Kreisberg was suspended for allegtions of sexual harassment. It was in response to this that Benoist posted this to her twitter, two days later:

Now that he's officially been fired, hopefully the studio can move forward from this incident. Knowing SUPERGIRL, and it's openly feminist star, they will probably insert this topic into an upcoming episode. I have a feeling it won't be too long before Kara serves up some justice to a man, in power, who can't keep his hands to himself. Morgan Edge seems like a pretty good candidate if you ask me.
Stay tuned.
