Disney has released the first official trailer for it’s latest Pixar Animation Studios film titled: THE GOOD DINOSAUR.

The movie asks the question: “What if the asteroid that forever changed life on Earth missed the planet completely and giant dinosaurs never became extinct?” The story centers around a young Apatosaurus named Arlo who befriends the most unlikely of creatures...

A human.

We see Arlo traveling through a harsh and mysterious landscape, and while doing so he learns the power of confronting his his fears and discovers what he is truly capable of.

Having done voicework in Pixar films such as MONSTERS UNIVERSITY and RATATOUILLE,  Peter Sohn makes his feature length directorial debut. Producer Denise Ream (CARS 2) steps in to round out the behind-the-camera pedigree. The movie carries an impressive cast of experienced actors such as Anna Paquin, Steve Zahn, Sam Elliot and the young Raymond Ochoa (THE 46 PERCENTERS) as the voice of Arlo.

The animation is breathtakingly beautiful, as a scene showing a branch of leaves looks as real as the ones outside your door. A subtly humorous scene of an asteroid zooming across the sky, interrupting the dinos dinner provides a moment of levity in the emotionally powerful trailer. The landscapes are majestic and the dinosaurs are cartoony enough so as not to intimidate younger audiences, but not so much that you’d confuse them for the lead character. The touching moments between Arlo and his new friend invoke messages of friendship, kindness and loyalty.

THE GOOD DINOSAUR opens a new world of adventure on November 25, 2015.
