From Multiversity Guidebook: Earth-0, also known as NEW EARTH, is the foundation stone of the Multiversal structure.  It has survived several attacks, surgeries, and reconstructions on the way to its current form.  On Earth-0, the greatest young superheroes of the age are at the peak and pinnacle of their powers and achievements.

Commentary: This is the core DC Universe.  One thing I found really interesting is that this New Multiverse seems to leave out the Flashpoint and old DC universes.  I really assumed they would be bouncing around as some of the other worlds in the multiverse.  But DC is definitely selling the idea that this is the only DC Universe right now.
