Does This Toy Spoil Batman V Superman?

Walking through Wal-Mart tonight I discovered a display case full of toys for the upcoming movie: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. I was excited to see that the back of the packaging showed that a Wonder Woman action figure is available, unfortunately there were none to be found. Mind you, the display case was almost entirely full of Batman and Superman figures. So either Wonder Woman didn't ship, or she's the only one that has been purchased and she sold out.

I digress...

During my search for a Wonder Woman action figure I discovered a "Gauntlet Assault" Batman. As he stood there all Batman-y, in his suit of gold with abs outlined in green, he wore giant green gauntlets on each hand. His fists were poised for pounding.

We've seen images in the trailers of Lex Luthor staring in awe at a Kryptonite rock, so it's quite possible the green gauntlets were provided for Batman by Lex, himself. What is he quoted as saying in the trailer? Ah yes, that's right: "If man won't kill god, then the devil will do it!" At the moment when Batman has Superman beaten, perhaps he realizes he's gone too far and removes the gauntlets; throwing them down, so to speak. Perhaps it's that moment some mutual understanding is discovered.

Of course, this alternative action figure could just be a way to sell more toys.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is directed by Zack Snyder and stars Henry Cavill (Superman), Ben Affleck (Batman), Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman), Amy Adams (Lois Lane) and Jesse Eisenberg (Lex Luthor) and has a release date of March 25th, 2016.
