Instead of a video description today, it is now story time so gather around children. This is a reenactment of story told somewhere in the 90's. Today Zach and Kevin will be playing the two characters but we will replace the original character's names in hopes you will know where this from.

Some awesome news coming from The House of Ideas this morning…

For most kids, finding out your folks belong to a world-dominating cabal of super villains would be about the craziest thing in the world—but they’re not the Runaways! Back in 2003, Brian K. Vaughan and Adrian Alphona introduced us to a book called RUNAWAYS and a cast of characters that we instantly fell in love with. The adventures of Nico, Karolina, Chase, Molly, Alex, and Gertrude grabbed a faithful fan following that led to a number of volumes as well as appearances in other books like AVENGERS ARENA and A-FORCE.

WONDER WOMAN sent a flying knee kick to the box office this weekend as it shattered windows and expectations, charging towards a potential $100 million weekend.

As it continues to pull in rave reviews from nearly everyone there doesn't seem to be a lot of criticism about the influence this movie gets from its predecessor's. I'm speaking about MAN OF STEEL and BATMAN V SUPERMAN. Here is a quick rundown of what people were angered about in regards to those Zack Snyder directed movies:

MORBID HEARTS is the first book in the Dead Hearts series of novels by Susan L. Lambdin. Having read the second book in the series first, you may be thinking to yourselves, “Why would you read the first book now?” Well, that is a fair question that I will answer like this: Knowing what happens in the sequel lets me look at the first novel in a different light than reading it first. I get to look at it from the perspective of: How well does the author set things up for the sequel? How well does she develop the characters personalities in the first book, and did they carry over into the second book so that they did not appear as different people?

That, to me, is a refreshing look when reading a series of novels that I don’t get when reading them in series order.

Once more, the A.I.M.S. team finds themselves up against weirdness in The Dark Forest. Buck is still hunting for the Little Girl, while the rest of the team has their own mystery to pick -- specifically the mystery of Jeff's nose and why it keeps bleeding so often.

Of course, whenever anything is encountered, these brave woodsmen, armed with their rifles and pistols and their cunning traps, respond with immediate flight. I can see running from a ten-foot Bigfoot -- but running from one woman, or even a group of other hunters?

I find myself wondering sometimes if the crew from MOUNTAIN MONSTERS ever goes hunting together -- traditional hunting, that is. Let's say, squirrel hunting:

Buck: We're here in the woods behind my house looking for gray squirrels. So far we've seen a ton of evidence that this place is the home to several of the creatures.

Gal Gadot wasn’t a household name in the United States, even after appearing in three THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS films. She will be now, as the eminently likable star of WONDER WOMAN and the first person to overcome the many deficiencies of Zach Snyder.

Zach solos in this episode and reviews movies from one out of five stars. Where's Kevin? ... .... I dunno.

Traditionally, fifth weeks are usually when comic companies release specials or annuals. But more and more, Marvel just spreads their books across all five weeks of the month. Still overall, this is pretty a small week for me.

Zach here! Yo Banjo-Kazooie was one of my favorite childhood games playing back when the N64 was in it's prime and I remember spending hours playing Banjo-Kazooie only to fulfill my collectible needs. Plus the music was ADDICTING! 

Today I play Yooka-Laylee, a game that is supposed to be a perfect recreation of Banjo-Kazooie and a dedication to kids who grew up with early platform games. This game was created by people who actually worked on Banjo-Kazzoie and the same music that was composed by Grant Kirkhope makes a shining return in composing the music for Yooka-Laylee. 

The boys take on a new hobby in Hyrule and learn to shield surf. Today the boys ask the the question. What has happened to our humanity?

It's been a really bad year for marketing ideas that hit all the wrong notes. From Nivea's "White is Purity" advertisements to Kendall Jenner's Pepsi Protest Spot, 2017 seems to have adopted the motto, "It Seemed Like A Good Idea At The Time."

The latest good idea / immediate backlash plan comes from Austin, Texas, where the Alamo Drafthouse theater has decided to celebrate Girl Power by holding a "Women Only" (to include men who identify as women, the theater has clarified) screening of the upcoming WONDER WOMAN film, Title IX be damned. The exclusion of the Y-Chromosome (or ignoring the possession of one) extends not just to the audience, but will, as the theater's invitation states, include everyone in the theatre working that screening.
